Penang, Malaysia

Penang's capital city, Georgetown, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mainly, this is the reason why I planned my travel here. From Kuala Lumpur, we boarded Firefly Malaysia out of curiosity of their local aircraft carrier. It was worth the try especially I got the ticket for two way KL-Penang-KL for RM106 (around PhP1,300). However, Subang airport is far from the city. Getting to the airport is a bit costly and time consuming.

Stayed at Hotel Mingood...paid RM80 for an overnight stay for two persons (around PhP500per person). I'm a picky eater so I really didn't try out the local delicacies.. We always dine at Louis Cafe which offers western cuisine. It is located just in front of our hotel. Luckily, one of the crew is a Filipina..we also met the other staff like Pen and Zaya. Both of them are from Myanmar.

To go around the city, we rented a car which includes a tourist guide for RM100 (PhP1,300) for the entire day.
